About
a little bit of insight...
BloodBrother is the musical venture of Cameron Höll. This Durban based indie rock band, is all about energy and emotion on stage. The band captures the imagery of relationships, life experiences and the observations of modern day society.
The name BloodBrother is a reference to the relationship created through experiencing music together and relating to one another through a shared passion and set of emotions. The name was first mentioned as a joke in studio between Cameron and producer Zayne Höll (who also happens to be Cameron’s older cousin), when the pair were talking about releasing Cameron’s then solo project under a band alias instead. “As soon as I said BloodBrother, we both stopped what we were doing and looked at each other as if we’d just discovered gold. I knew then that BloodBrother would be the band name I would undertake.” - Cameron Höll
The band name not only draws on the family relation between the musician and producer, but can be easily related to by audience members as BloodBrother is a name that offers relativity, a sense of belonging and a deep emotional connection - just like we intend our music to do the same for listeners.
